Taking your game on holiday

The great thing about golf is the ease with which you can find places all over the world to support your passion for playing it.  The added bonus is that by playing on new courses, often under diverse conditions, your holidayoverall game as well as mental and physical skills, are tested, refined and improved - sometimes without you even knowing it.

Besides all that, you have opportunities to relax through your game in ways you don’t have at home, where the influences of common pressures are sometimes difficult to prevent.

Recommended resources:
We’ve spent a bit of time searching and located an online service called Find A Golf Resort that’s worth a look, if only to get you inspired about a golfing holiday or break.  It’s one of few we’ve found that gives you a global index of golf resorts and country clubs and even allows you to search by what mindful mood you’re in – for example,  a family golfing holiday, lap-of-luxury experience, or budget getaway!  Check it out here:  www.findagolfresort.com
Airfares Flights is an independent guide to travel from Australia that allows visitors to compare travel deals from a variety of travel companies, delivering a complete travel comparision shopping service.  Have a look here:

Another useful online resource is Direct Flights which has a useful comparison service for flights to/from Australia, accommodation, insurance, etc.  Click here to go to the Direct Flights website.

Play golf under the pyramids in Eqypt!
Located on 40 acres of gardens right under the pyramids, the Mena House began as a hunting lodge for Vice King Kedive Ismail who,  in 1869. expanded it on the occasion of the opening of the Suez Canal to impress visiting Empress Eugenie with the best views of the ancient structures.  The Mena House Oberoi has played host to kings and emperors, heads of state – including Winston Churchill - and celebrities.  It not only boasts the best views of the pyramids but also the only golf course right under them.
Enjoy a look at the Mena House here, including the view from the golf course.
